Pharmacological actions:
- Thyroxine is critical to body metabolism. Hyperthyroidism is the clinical syndrome caused by an excess of circulating free thyroxine (T4) or free triiodothyronine (T3), or both. Major symptoms include palpitations and arrhythmias, diaphoresis, tremor, always seem to be hungry, weight loss, etc. Gentiopicrin can reduce Thyroxine and delay metabolism. This formula is a good food supplement for hyperthyroids of early-stage or unsuitable to have surgery or radioiodine treatment.
