Indications:
This product contains red yeast rice, an exclusive source of standardized Monascus purpureus yeast (or Red Yeast) fermented on premium rice, which naturally contains HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (>0.5%) and major unsaturated fatty acids (0.8-2%) which are extremely effective in reducing bad (LDL) cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. This product can be used to suppress atherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia and to prevent the occurrence of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and obesity.
Suggested usage:
Take 2 capsules twice daily.

Pharmacological actions:
The UCLA School of Medicine verified the clinical effficacyt of red yeast rice. The results, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in February '99, show that cholesterol levels dropped by an average of 40 points in 12 weeks. |
