What is Vitiligo |
Vitiligo is a common skin disorder in which white spots appear on the skin usually occurring on both sides of the body in the same location. The disease has been around for thousands of years. Vitiligo occurs in 1-2% of the population. It affects both sexes, all races and all ages.
The color of skin normally decide by the amount of black pigment in skin, the black pigment generate by melanin cell.
Melanin cell are damaged by chemical compound or by acid body. It's also damaged by the abnormal multiplication of active immunocyte. These damage decline function of melanin cell maintaining normal color of skin and form blood speckle, in medicine, we call it vitiligo.
